May is better speech and hearing month. Megan Slocum, SLP is with our Functional Pathways team and she had an in-service on Better Speech and Hearing outside in our Pavilion. Megan took the time to talk to the residents about the role she plays on our campus in helping residents with hearing, speech and cognitive limitations. All residents have access to therapy services conveniently located right on campus. The residents that attended this therapy in-service enjoyed talking with Megan and also had fresh fruit kebobs provided by Kate Frey, Executive Chef. Thank you Megan!
The Williamsport Home had the privilege to have Aaron Kelly perform on our campus for our resident and family/friends. What a great day we had with sunshine and singing!
Our ADA ramp is already in use but not yet finished as you can see the temporary handrails. We also have the staircase leading to our main entrance is moving very quickly. They are not completely done but this has only been 5 days. What a great crew for keeping these projects moving along to minimize detours into our Skilled Nursing Facility.
Construction is still moving along on our ADA ramp.
We are also working on a new HVAC unit in the kitchen in our Skilled Nursing Facility. It was pretty cool to watch the crane lift and bring down the unit on top of the roof. It was a success and now we are in the process of cooling off our awesome kitchen staff while they prepare meals for our residents.
Please make sure you visit us tomorrow in our Valley View building for a tour! Just follow the balloons!
